Online Bookstores
Amazon has good prices on new books and also lists new and used books from its network of independent booksellers. A great resource for finding out-of-print books. Richard's Poetry Bookshop recommends titles for you.

Fetchbook - Find the Lowest Price finds any book and lists prices, from both independent booksellers and chains. If Amazon doesn't have it, Fetchbook often will. Be sure to read vendor feedback before purchasing.

Alibris finds rare and out-of-print books. Has good descriptions of the condition of the book and a glossary of terms.
